Located on Level 1, The Calile Gymnasium is fully equipped for those who know how to work up a sweat. The Gymnasium is free for use for all hotel guests – use your room card key for 24/7 access.

Lacking motivation? Pre-book a session with our resident trainers, Caren or Bridgette, who will persuade those extra few reps, spot your form and provide an all-out session that will leave you energised.

Trainers

Caren Michaels

Caren has over 18 years’ experience as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor and is a 250hrs Qualified Yoga Instructor.

She has represented Qld in Cross Country Running, Hockey and Australia in Water Polo.

During the transition into Personal Training she incorporated all her training skills and competed in triathlons.

Caren adapts her diverse knowledge to provide each client with a balanced workout with an emphasis on functional core based strength, using weights, kettlebells, TRX and bodyweight toning with bands and balls.  Caren uses Yoga Flow techniques to combine mobility, strength and alignment to centre the mind and body using breath through movement. Poses and stretches are designed to strengthen deep into the muscle.

Qualifications: Cert III Cert IV Health & Fitness Former Professional Athlete

Bridgette Vayonitis

Bridgette is an experienced Personal Trainer skilled in providing motivation and support to clients with all levels of fitness. Bridgette uses her in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and nutrition to assist clients in achieving their health and fitness goals, and tailors her workouts by using a variety of fitness equipment and techniques, including weight training, cardio, HIIT, and functional training.

Qualifications: Cert III and IV in Fitness Cert III Sports and Recreation Cert III Sports (coaching)
