THE POSITION
As Restaurant Manager of Lobby Bar, you will lead The Calile’s signature venue and set the tone for a dining experience that is refined, relaxed and consistently thoughtful. You will guide the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, working closely with the culinary and beverage teams to deliver an offering that reflects seasonal quality and the understated elegance that defines our hotel. Your presence on the floor will shape an environment where service feels genuine, warm and quietly confident.
This role requires a steady operational focus, including responsibility for staffing, training, financial performance and service standards. You will support and develop a talented team and collaborate closely with the culinary and beverage teams. If you have a creative flair, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the wine list, cocktail offering and broader beverage direction. Above all, you will champion a culture that values attention to detail and genuine hospitality, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.

The Position
The Calile is Brisbane’s premier event venue, hosting an extensive range of exceptional functions from intimate dinners to multi-day conferences and everything in between. This role is pivotal in ensuring every event reflects The Calile’s distinctive style, aligns with our brand guidelines, and exceeds guest expectations. You’ll be responsible for curating seamless event experiences, from selling event spaces and coordinating logistics to communicating with the operations team to ensure we execute a flawless event on the day.
Learning and Development: Collaborating with the Conference & Events Manager to foster growth and knowledge-sharing within the team, supporting employee and guest journeys.
Team Focus: Championing The Calile’s cultural values by nurturing a collaborative, supportive, and respectful team environment.
About you
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a high-end event venue or prestigious 5-star hotel.
Proven track record in event sales, contracting, and end-to-end event coordination.
Familiarity with Opera Sales & Catering, Delphi, or a similar event management system (preferred).
A qualification in hotel or hospitality management (desirable).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident, working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering events that embody The Calile’s refined guest experience.

THE POSITION
We seek a driven and motivated full-time Porter to join our Front Office team. You are the face of The Calile, and your presence and professionalism make you stand out from the crowd. You will be an enthusiastic, proactive, and driven team player, committed to ensuring our guests have an exemplary experience and delighting in assisting them in any way you can.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You must have a current and valid open Australian driver’s license, be able to drive manual and automatic vehicles and be available to work a rotating 7-day roster with a mix of early and late shifts.

The Position
An exciting full-time opportunity exists for you to join The Calile Team in the role of Night Auditor. As a key contributor to the seamless and efficient overnight operations of this very busy property, your main duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
The auditing of the daily activity of the front office and food & beverage operations in accordance with policies and procedures
Providing accurate and up-to-date financial and yield reports as directed
Night management of hotel operations in the absence of department HODs
Ensuring guest feedback is recorded accurately per operational standards and any matters requiring action are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner
Ensuring guest security and privacy are maintained at all times
About You
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment
Prior knowledge of Opera Cloud is an advantage
Pride in ensuring the accuracy of work
It would be advantageous in the position to demonstrate an understanding of hotel finance
You enjoy working a flexible roster including shift work, weekends and public holidays and are available to work a flexible roster across all 7 days.
