Calling all Book Clubs!

Turn the page on a new year with The Calile and join the (book) club.

With a new year, comes new year resolutions. Some may wish to learn a new skill or take up a hobby, while others endeavour to read more, spend time with old friends or make new ones. For those expand their reading repertoire this year, find out below how you can host your bookish event at The Calile Library this year.

Here at The Calile it is no secret that we love books – we think that they are the ultimate travel companion – we love our community, but most of all, we love the power books have in connecting a community be it with friends, colleagues or complete strangers. Which is why we created The Calile Book Club, offering the guests the opportunity to join by ordering a copy of the current tome from the creative and compelling agenda of inspiring reads, hand selected by Riverbend Books.

This year we also wish to create opportunities for connection with our wider community through literature. Book clubs are for welcoming new perspectives, for coming together with others to read, share, talk and find common ground. Hosting a book club can be a commitment, so we have devised a solution – allow us to host your book club for you!

This is your chance to win an evening for your book club event from 5:30–7pm on Tuesday 25th March in our Library accompanied with wine and cheese and with complimentary parking for up to 10 guests.

To enter, simply tell us why your book club deserves to win below. You don’t need to be an aspiring writer, or submit a short novella, although we would love to hear why your book club is special, so please tell us about your club. We look forward to welcoming you and your well-read team to host your book club in our Library here at The Calile.

Entries will close 9am AEST 6th March 2025 with one book club event to be won. The lucky winner will be contacted via email on 11th March 2025. Please note, just one entry per person (hint: each member of your book club is allowed to enter).

Good luck!
