About the Role

Are you known for providing outstanding customer service? Warmly greeting guests and ensuring their needs are met quickly and efficiently? You will be an outgoing team player who prides themselves on delivering exceptional service and thrives on being part of a high-performing team.  You love food & drinks, take a keen interest in the latest trends and venues, and stay across ever-evolving guest expectations.

You will be highly competent in all the basics, including providing food and beverage service, taking great pride in your environment, making it a warm and inviting experience, and delivering that little extra for every guest.

Applicants must be well-presented with at least two years of experience in Beverage/mixology services.

To be successful in the role, the primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prior experience in staging outstanding Beverage experiences in a hotel setting
  • An ability to thrive under pressure and work as a team in a high-paced environment
  • A great sense of style and immaculate presentation and grooming
  • Attainment of the necessary Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
  • To be available for a 7-day roster

Duty Manager

The Position

We are currently seeking a full-time Duty Manager to play an important role in our leadership team.

The main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Leadership of all team members & functionality within rooms division and management of operations in the absence of Heads of Departments as required
  • Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately and action any service recovery process in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Assist reservations team in ensuring hotel specific SOP’s are adhered to
  • Ensure all accounting practices and processes are achieved per hotel specific SOP’s
  • Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance and Restaurant and Bar Managers to deliver brand-standard rooms, products and services
  • Actively contribute towards reaching agreed hotel performance targets and objectives

 More About You

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a luxury 5-star property
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Engaging leadership style that demonstrates a strong commitment to teamwork, but is also a strong individual contributor
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Opera/Protel program experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach
  • Exemplary grooming and presentation standards
  • Must have availability for a 7-day roster and be able to work a flexible roster including shift work, weekends and public holidays
