Book to Donate to ADC

Throughout April and May 2024, every night a guest stays with us The Calile will donate $5 to support the Australasian Dance Collective (ADC), a small yet mighty arts organisation.

We encourage our guests to contribute too and have made it easy to match our donations by adding a contribution option to our website. So, when making a booking to stay with us, please add a small contribution to ADC to support a local creative institution.

ADC has carved out a name for itself nationally for its bold and exciting performances that push the boundaries and are created in collaboration with artists and specialists from creative and surprising industries, including AI and cybernetics experts.  No matter the collaborator, the work is powerful, combining dance and human movement to achieve strikingly innovative and moving performances.

More than a contemporary dance organisation; ADC is a true collective with a multi-armed and trans-generational approach to dance.  The central arm is the ‘Company’ made up of an extraordinary ensemble of six professional dancers, delivering cutting edge works and commanding presentations and have achieved significant recognition through national awards, including three Helpmann Awards and three Australian Dance Awards.

This core of excellence is strengthened by an ecosystem of collaboration and cultivation of both youth and mature performers including: a Youth Ensemble for young dancers aged 14-19; a Mature Ensemble with no age limit; a Pre-Professional Program to new progress talent; and a First Collective Residency with BlakDance to support established and emerging First Nations choreographers and dancers.

ADC can achieve all of this only with philanthropic support to help bolster government grants. Which is why we are supporting our friend, collaborator and neighbour ADC throughout April and May and invite you to also.

To find out more about Australasian Dance Collective, visit them here, and remember to add a contribution when booking a stay during April and May to help our treasured arts organisations continue to flourish and feed us creative brilliance.
